ATA Carnet Specifics

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Portugal Customs may allow a Grace period on soon-to-expire ATA Carnets. However, customs does not have the details as to how the grace period will be administrated. The local NGA is working with customs in order to obtain specific guidelines.

ATA Carnet Specifics:

Carnets will be accepted in the territories of Azores and Madeira are Portuguese
▪ NGA recommends adding ONE blue transit set when traveling from the island to the mainland Portugal. However, this is not mandatory by Portuguese customs.
